Isla San Andrés, October 2014

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from the Atlanta College of Art (now SCAD) in the early 1990’s. For more than 10 years, I participated in gallery shows and events throughout the southern United States before moving to California in 2003.

In 2010, I began studying Spanish and became immediately drawn to the refranes or dichos of Latin culture: popular wisdom phrased as a proverb. From this attraction, several projects emerged, including mixed media pieces centered on diversity, tradition, and progress.

Inspired by travel, writing, and nature, my creative work includes an appreciation for landscapes, references to typography, and a palette of brilliant, colored patternsWhile most of my pieces have been sold, some remain archived in sketchbooks.
