About
Art has always lived at the heart of my world: a colorful, continual thread weaving through every location.
My foundation began at the Atlanta College of Art (now SCAD), where I earned a BFA in art history, printmaking, and book design, studying alongside contemporaries like Kara Walker, Radcliffe Bailey, and Carl Joe Williams.
After graduation, I spent several years in Atlanta expanding my creative footprint and attending remarkable shows. I interned at the visual arts nonprofit, Nexus Press, while exhibiting in eclectic spaces, including the holiday shows at an Inman Park home that later became the iconic WhiteSpace.
From Atlanta, my path uniquely unfolded, starting in Baltimore, Maryland, where I taught elementary art through the Baltimore City Teaching Residency Program. A few years later, I moved to California, expanding my creative knowledge into graphic design and systems administration.
Desiring a new direction, I left California for Mexico and Colombia, where I taught Computer Science, English Literature, and Creative Writing. During my years abroad, I learned Spanish and earned my PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, further advancing my horizons in language and adventure.
Today, back in California, I enjoy my work as a bilingual communications specialist, enhancing educational resources for Spanish-speaking communities, while making space for my own art and exploration.
Through every move in life, art has remained a favorite constant. These days, when I’m not traveling, attending art shows, or celebrating other people’s work, I’m creating in my home studio, diving into fresh ideas and drawing on my roots in mixed media and design.
